The Panasonic HC-V10 is not a true HD camcorder. In fact, the image quality isn't even as good as some standard-definition camcorders. Its only redeeming features are 70X enhanced optical zoom and optical image stabilization. If you want a good entry-level HD camcorder, save your money and get a Sony HDR-CX190.
