Using the slats you find on pallets, I've glued three pieces together and then cut these on the table saw at around 47mm square. They were tacked with brad nails in three places which means any turning has been planned with this.

There were a total of 16 legs to turn to make small tables for garden furniture. Basic turnign between centres with the skew.

I did get a couple of catches along the way which meant slight modifications that aren't visible unless you hold the pieces next to each other to compare them. Being pallet wood they have that rustic feel and do not need to be precise in their look.

I'm no production turner, but very happy with the final result in them all looking so similar.
