We dream under stormy skies and cast them into the sea. Sometimes they wash back ashore, but sometimes they’re carried out on rolling waves past the horizon, farther than we ever thought they’d go. This week’s stormy seaside palette knife painting represents much more to me than the majestic beauty of the natural world. It represents the boundless possibilities of life and the transformative power of art. Let's pick up some palette knives and dream our way through this rocky beach, stormy sky, and breaking waves.

I’m painting on a 12x16-inch canvas board, but you can paint on any type and size of canvas you like.

I used:
• A 1/2-inch flat brush
• A long diamond shaped palette knife
• A short diamond shaped palette knife

I’m using Liquitex Basics acrylic paint in the following colors:
• Mars Black
• Titanium White
• Unbleached Titanium White
• Ultramarine Blue
• Burnt Umber
But you can use any colors you like.
