🚉 It's been almost one month since the new Pakenham and East Pakenham stations opened, and one of the huge benefits is that it enables Metro and V/Line trains to crossover and bypass each other, minimising congestion and delays.
🛤️ Regional trains can enter the metropolitan rail network without getting stuck behind a Metro train - check out the bypass tracks in this reel.
✅ We removed 3 level crossings in Pakenham. Finishing works are underway, with the 6 MCGs worth of new community open space ready for everyone to enjoy in spring this year.
