Ultimate Paper Mache | Painting The Basset Hound @UltimatePaperMache | Uploaded March 2020 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
I finally finished the Basset Hound. I was a little worried about painting him, to be honest. I really liked the way the hound was turning out and I didn't want to give myself a chance to mess him up. (Am I the only one with that kind of self-doubt? Yeah, probably not. 🐢 )

I wanted a final painting that didn't show any brush marks. I wanted the forms to be the most important part of the project, and not the painting. I managed to do that by using a stencil brush and dabbing on the final coats of color on the red and black parts, and I really like the way it turned out. It looks velvety and soft.
