There’s more to this iconic Warhammer armor that meets the eye. And the brush!

While more complex shapes are easier to paint, the design of the Space Marine is smooth, with few gaps between and even less room for error. So with figures like these it’s important to focus on the upward-facing surfaces and brushing from the shadowed areas up to the highlighted ones to get that true base colour back in.

This can be used as a general tip for more shape-focused miniatures, not just these amazing (yet annoying) Space Marines.
