Winter has really settled in here — frosty mornings, that soft grey light, and a quiet that almost forces you to pay attention. But inside the studio, things feel very different. Not because it’s warmer in here (it’s not!), but because my intuition has started tugging at me again… and this time, I can’t seem to brush it aside.
In this episode of The Artist’s Diary, I’m looking back at the intuitive nudges that have shaped both my life and my art — the course I absolutely couldn’t afford but took anyway, the retreat I swore I’d never go to, and all the unexpected trips, teachers, and invitations that changed the entire trajectory of my work. I’m following the thread from 2018 to now and showing how every irrational “yes” ended up leading me somewhere I never could’ve planned.
And of course, it’s not all deep reflections — you’ll see snowy English mornings, a bit more of our renovation progress, some cozy studio moments with Riley, and how intuition actually shows up while I’m painting. The truth is, intuition is rarely neat. It’s messy, inconvenient, a bit scary — and somehow always where the good stuff happens.
Big shifts take big trust, and I’m learning (again) how to listen a little more closely.
