I decided to something really old. These girls were my very first OCs and I even had a comic called starfall.
I recently visited my old website where I hosted my comic and I feel kinda bad that even after 2 years since I made last page, people still comment asking if itll continue.

This is basically one layer black and white portrait I made as a gift for my friend. I do add colors only at the end and for those who know my content may find this a bit unusual. I Really want to move into doing one or few layer paintings, because theyre far more easier and pleasant to do. I normally paint with colors and keep doing so in the future, but its good to practice values as well and black and white paintings are the best way to do that.
Ps. Excuse the wind like sound in the audio, I have really crappy microphone that causes horrible white noise in the background. I edited it out which is why theres this kinda of wavy sound but even that is better than having a storm behind me. Besides you can imagine being on the beach while listening to this, win win :,D")

Hope everyone has had a fine year and whatnot, the picture is a bit of off season for those of us freezing in our home land, but apparently australians are enjoying the peftect tempeture so youre welcome I guess. This time Im painting Katara from avatar the last airbender. I really love her design and character growth. Show is overall splendid with loveable characters and really interesting storyline. If you have not watched the show I highly recommend it. Im also ranting a bit about critique Ive received sometimes, because it feels like you can never really object to any feedback youre given, even if the feedback is not that good.

Phew this took me some time, I tried to put a little bit more effort into rendering. I really like the sort of messy brushstrokes look but I dont yet have the balance down and sometimes it just ends up looking messy instead. I think with this one I at least took a step into a right direction so I hope you like it.
