Painting a Dongtan Style Dress — Part 1
In Part 1 of this digital painting livestream, I begin building the character’s body form and establishing the fitted silhouette of a Dongtan style dress.
I first use simple shapes and clear two-value lighting to define the character’s proportions and volume. I then gradually develop the dress, focusing on how the fabric wraps around the body and follows its curves.
