Things you don't know about this video: I don't know what to write here today, ma loves. It's silly how sometimes our (my) minds make us believe that if we're raw and honest, people are going to leave, because we're sad or we share things that upset us (aka complain). But I don't wanna stop being honest with you, so here's what's in my mind: last week I was anxious as hell, checking the news and twitter constantly about what's happening in Chile. This was after filming the whole video (but the intro). At some point I had to take a break from news because my blood pressure got super high (hello migraines) and I felt mega guilty. I felt like it was my duty to be informed about what's happening in Chile 24/7, it's the least I can do, specially since I'm away! But it was breaking me. So for one day or two I banned twitter and Ed was my News Man hahah he shared the important things instead of me checking every 3 minutes. Now I'm okay (yay!), I'm capable of informing myself and stop when I notice it's enough. But Chile is still struggling, and I feel helpless and frustrated and useless. Ed and I are going to every protest here in NYC we can, and even though it feels we're doing little to no contribution to our country, it's been a huge help to our anxiety. So here's to protesting!
plans for this weekend: dinner with friends on Saturday, Ed and I bough a second hand rug which is coming todaaay (first rug since moving to NYC, just in time for the colder months) and skype date with my friend Marion. And also drawing, obviously.
