In this video, I'm painting an intuitive floral painting as I get to know a new paintbrush. I find that getting used to a new brush, testing it out, happens best when I paint in my comfort zone, using colors and shapes that are familiar for me, so that the burden of trial rests on the brush. I love a loose floral on dry paper to help me develop my intuitive painting strategies and explore shape, color and composition in watercolor. It's a fun way to grow watercolor skill, even if you aren't trying out a new paintbrush!
