A month in with my used 2021 Tesla Model Y, and I finally did it — I paid $99 for a month of Full Self-Driving and let it take me on some real trips, including a two-hour drive to Des Moines. The results were... not what I expected. Some of it genuinely impressed me. Some of it made absolutely no sense. And the frozen doors in a polar vortex nearly sent me over the edge.
