[Béla Bartók]Six Dances in Bulgarian Rhythm Guitar Quartet arr. Richard Wright
This quartet is arranged by my teacher Richard Wright. We performed it during the 23rd Iserlohn Guitar Symposium 2014. Here we play highlights of the six dances. If you watch the last movement, the video actually morphs into the actual performance on the final night at the festival.
During the festival, we took master classes with William Kanengiser of Los Angels Guitar Quartet, Chris Ruben of Baltic Guitar Quartet and Rene Izquierdo. It was really great fun to be playing with my fellow guitar mates at the Yehudi Menuhin School.

Béla Viktor János Bartók (/ˈbɑrtɒk/; Hungarian pronunciation: [ˈbeːlɒ ˈbɒrtoːk]; March 25, 1881 – September 26, 1945) was a Hungarian composer and pianist. He is considered one of the most important composers of the 20th century; he and Liszt are regarded as Hungarys greatest composers (Gillies 2001). Through his collection and analytical study of folk music, he was one of the founders of comparative musicology, which later became ethnomusicology.
