Sterling walks through Vega's intuitive three-step consumable loading process, emphasizing its clean design where used SMRT Cells and tips return to their trays. Integrated with SMRT Link software, run parameters are pre-configured, streamlining the path from sample to sequencing start and minimizing hands-on instrument setup.
The Vega system operates on standard power and offers the same trusted HiFi sequencing chemistry as the PacBio Revio system, ensuring data compatibility. Key features include onboard CCS processing, which reduces the need for external high-performance computing resources, and the ability to preload consumables, enabling continuous 24/7 operation for sustained laboratory output.
