This one is definitely up there, with the legendary Peter Green from his Fleetwood Mac days. Midnight Blues Jam ClarkeOnGuitar 2019-07-09 | It's been a while since my last jam upload, so this short jam is over a backing track I picked up from the net, it's definitely an homage to the late, great (fellow Northern Irishman) Gary Moore. "Burnin' Alive" is probably my favourite tune from 1995's Ballbreaker album. Vibrato Guitar Solo Cover ClarkeOnGuitar 2017-06-14 | I've been taking online lessons from one of my guitar heroes for a while now, so I finally decided to properly tackle one of my favourite Paul Gilbert solos. It's the title track from Paul's 2012 Vibrato album. Such a great album, and such a funky track. The solo is so much fun to play. My cover is by no means perfect, and I can't play keyboards so the backing track is lacking those parts. All in all though, I had a lot of fun putting the backing track together and learning the solo. Enjoy, and check out the original tune, it's awesome!

Ghost Instrumental Cover Jam ClarkeOnGuitar 2017-04-02 | "Ghost" is one of my favourite tracks off Slash's 2010 self titled solo album. There are a lot of great tracks on that album and a lot of super guest appearances too. E Phrygian Dominant Backing Track ClarkeOnGuitar 2016-11-11 | This guitar backing track is an E Phrygian Dominant track in the style of Yngwie Malmsteen. Inspired by the solo section of Yngwie's song "I'll See The Light Tonight", it steams along at 150 bpm and has two main parts, the longer of which is in E. The other section switches key to B and then up to C#. I wanted a track to allow me plenty of opportunity to practice my phrygian dominant / harmonic minor licks at this kind of tempo. Pretty As You Please Instrumental Guitar Cover (Cry Of Love) ClarkeOnGuitar 2016-09-07 | I've been a huge Cry of Love fan since their debut album "Brother" came out in 1993. For me, it's one of those rare albums that just simply doesn't have a weak song on it. It's rock solid from the first onte to the last. I was amazed at how unique Audley Freed's guitar work on that album was. It was so stylish and different than anything I'd heard from a rock player, with lots of fast hybrid picking and a country feel as well as a southern rock vibe. To say Audley has been a big influence on my playing would be an understatement.So, I finally took the time to sit down and properly learn one of my favourite solos from that album, "Pretty As You Please". It's quite a tricky one to nail, with it's fast hybrid picking and sexy loose timing. It has an awesome riff too so I've played some of that too. I recorded a rhythm guitar, the bass, and programmed the drums on this one, as well as the lead track which is what I'm playing in the video.Hope you like it, and check out Cry of Love, one of the greatest bands of the 90's who should have had the opportunity to do more!

Their "Five Man Acoustical Jam" album is in my opinion probably the greatest acoustic rock album of all time. Here's me doing a poor man's Frankie Hannon impression by having a little jam over "Before My Eyes". Hope you like it!I just bought a Shure SM57 microphone and a Presonus Audiobox to allow me to capture my acoustic guitar with a much more natural sound than DI. I think it sounds great. Just added a little reverb for flavour.
