I find thrown out two Ozito 240v mains powered electric lawnmowers. One is a Ozito ELM 1536 1500w 2019, the other is a Ozito ELM EcoMow 1400w 2017 era. Both mowers are had failures, both showed varied amount of use when looking at the cutting blade damage. The owner of the Ozito ELM 1536 1500w 2019 lawn mower explained how it failed. Considering the mower was being thrown out in 2022 it's not very old and showed very little wear and tear. It's failure point is something that's unusual.
I was very curious what the Product Review website said about these cheap electric lawnmowers and this let me understand how today's consumers love to buy something made in China that cheap, has a 3 year warranty and if it fails you just buy another cheap lawnmower. The idea of a quality built item that could last 10 years is not part of the equation. Buying spare parts is also a joke. Yes some models have a replacement cutting blade but it's a 'special order' and expensive Vs the total cost of a lawnmower. I also look at the latest Ozito ELM lawn mower on offer in Bunnings and I almost sold one to myself considering how cheap these lawn mowers are Vs the expensive Lithium battery lawn mowers and petrol lawn mowers.
