Some stones, such as soft or porous stones or stones that are dyed, can be affected by oxidizing. This is how I handle such stones. For my oxidizing solution I am using warm water with a few drops of liver of sulfur gel. Afterwards I polish the copper with extra fine steel wool and soap and water, let it fully dry and polish again with a Pro Polish Pad.
