Part of Unity Week 2019: Lecture presented by Victoria Benavides. First-generation college students come to campus with knowledge, skills, and tools that help them be resilient. In this interactive workshop, I, a first-gen college graduate and women of color educator, encourage and challenge first-gen students and their supporters to step back, reflect, and honor the strengths this dynamic community offers campus.
