I went back and tuned this board to sound better so that's why I decided to make another video on it. Stabs sound a lot better now, just needed to plug them with a syringe. I came full circle with the milky top tealios switches, I tried many other switches (NK Silk Red, Pewter, Mauves, Hyperglide Blacks) foam configurations, and keycaps and this is the one I liked the most and decided to keep.
I really wanted to make this board work with a GMK set which uses ABS plastic and generally won't give as deep of a sound as PBT keycaps do. GMK keycaps just look so incredible in person compared to everything else I've seen. I'm glad it worked out, the sound has a nice pop that I really like.
I did tape the flex cuts because the board sounded too muted for my liking with them. Overall I'm satisfied with the way this build is right now. Looking forward to using this board for a long time. To the guy that first commented on one of my videos 2 years ago "You should build a custom keyboard" YOU HAVE FINANCIALLY RUINED ME I HOPE YOU ARE HAPPY!!1!!1!11!
