The OWASP AI Bill of Materials (AIBOM) project addresses the critical need for transparency in AI systems through a comprehensive, community-driven framework. Launched in 2025, AIBOM has rapidly grown to include 12+ contributors across 8+ organizations, executing through nine specialized workstreams covering formats, tooling, policy, and best practices. The project bridges existing SBOM standards (CycloneDX, SPDX) with AI-specific requirements including model provenance, data lineage, and risk governance. With strategic partnerships spanning industry, academia, and regulators. This presentation showcases our execution model, early wins, and path to establishing AIBOM as the global standard for AI transparency.
