Since my last video, I've basically been playing the hell out of Doomfist. When he came out, I started one-tricking him, and I stayed at my play-all-the-roster MMR of hardstuck masters. I've actually kept up with him post-nerf. All the nerfs are agreeable except the change to slam, IMO. The new slam's lack of draw in is a major suck-fest, because it rips away all kinds of targets you previously were willing to engage. The range loss kills off a lot of previously available leap locales.

In any case, I now still mostly one-trick doom. Managed to snag a Top 500 from Competitive Deathmatch. In my seasons with him, I've gotten my long-term MMR from sitting at 3700 to 3800, but I still keep kissing GM and missing it. I've started filling on healer and tank roles around, 15% of the time. Willing to see if that takes me any higher.

My biggest issue with Competitive right now is the severe lack of willingness to "fix" or "improve" a bad situation in a team. I always try to figure out the weaknesses and how to best play /within/ a team, sure, but I don't get vocal anymore or try to fix roles as much. This is because of my built in expectation that I'll just "round it out" with a few wins down the line, and always end up at the same MMR. Which has always happened. For over 10 seasons. It's getting hard to feel invested in a losing team, basically.
