Overwatch has decided to lock heroes behind the battle pass. While they tell the media everything is peachy because you can "unlock heroes for free," what they don't tell you is that it will take likely the ENTIRE SEASON to reach the hero tier of 55.

But what Blizzard is neglecting to address is the overlap between the battle pass and F2P players. Unfortunately, by design, people who buy the battle pass now have an inherent advantage in competitive play, mostly due to the poor balancing and infrequent updates from the Overwatch team. If Ramattra comes out as an overtuned menace, paid tank players will immediately enjoy the benefits of this poor balance while F2P players will wind up with the short end of the stick.

Any game where you can pay to get an outright advantage has broken the fairness of play, and thus, yielded the competitive integrity as they outright favor premium players. This is not a recipe for success.
