Overthinking The World of Inside Out @MarngelRambles

It's been over 7 months since I first watched Inside Out 2 in theaters, and yet, I still can't stop thinking about it. Although, the release of the limited series, Dream Productions, likely contributed to why I'm still thinking about this franchise because that series turned out to be a really good story like its movie counterparts. There's a lot of reasons why, but the main one being the world building it adds to the Inside Out world. However, this recent edition to the Inside Out world building has brought about interesting question regarding how Riley's mind works. So that's why I want to talk about it today.

$Why Did Disney Let Elio Flop? Last year, Pixar had a very successful run in theaters with Inside Out 2 becoming the high grossing western animated film of all time. Part of it was due to how good the film was and how relentless Disney was with its marketing. Unfortunately for this year, Pixar could only achieve a small fraction of that success. Earlier in June, they released Elio; and despite being a really good movie in my opinion, the film ended up flopping in the box office. Part of the failure could be due to Elio being overshadowed by other movies released in June like the HTTYD remake and Kpop Demon Hunters. But I mostly blame Disneys lack of marketing for the film being a flop. But why would they let this happen to movie that costed them hundred of millions of dollar to make?
