You're doing the wrong wall combo! A full guide on the overkilling tech trap setup originally discovered by @friendlykoala. A universal setup that any character in TEKKEN can use, but I'll be covering all the tricks and tips for Heihachi Mishima specifically.
I've left out a lot of technical details to keep it simple. But a couple of things to note:
- The setups that work may not work on all characters. Females will have different sequences and larger characters may have no working traps.
- The delayed 3 can be broken by holding back, but cannot be broken by holding back after techrolling.
- The setup is based on the timing of the delayed jumping 3, so you can technically use any move and delay your jump by X amount of frames to get it to work (as inconsistent as that would be).
- You can use FF1+2 instead of DF2+3, however the timing is pretty tight before they get out of range for your grab whilst falling.
- If the opponent breaks the stun caused by the delayed jumping 3, side grab will hit front on.
Thank you @friendlykoala for discovering the tech. Check out his channel and the original video:

I hope Heihachi is in Tekken 8!
