In this live stream we will be discussing the much spiritual abuse that has occured in the past 30 years, including this past year in 2023.
1. TD Jakes and Puff Daddy: BISHOP T.D. JAKES Emotional Response. T.D. Jakes, who has been trending this week after rumors of an association with embattled music producer Diddy took hold online, denounced the rumors.
2. Jim Baker: After a 16-month federal grand jury probe, Bakker was indicted in 1988 on eight counts of mail fraud, 15 counts of wire fraud and one count of conspiracy
3. Catholic Church child sexual abuse scandal: A Vatican statement said Pope Francis "felt pain" over the findings, and expressed hopes for a "path of redemption".
Efforts by the Pope to address the problem have included holding an unprecedented summit on paedophilia in the Church, and changing its laws to explicitly criminalise sexual abuse.
But alleged cover-ups continue to dog the Catholic Church, and victims groups say the Vatican has not done nearly enough to right its wrongs.
