Two for One night. If you missed my Eva Cassidy/Sting cover of "Fields of Gold," I uploaded that as well tonight. :) So Fleetwood Mac and I go back a long way--one of my favorite bands of all time. Their "Rumors" album was our "road trip" selection to begin every 9 hour venture to Aunt Kiki's house when the kids were little. I like to think the reason they turned out to be such great musicians is the great music I played for them when they were little. Em tolerated me pausing the play and rewinding once again for "okay we need to hear this fiddle solo again. OMG Listen to Alison here--so good." :)
We went to bluegrass jams and festivals and constantly listened to Mountain Heart, The Cox Family, Alison Krauss and Union Station, Dolly Parton, Nanci Griffith, Randy Travis, and the old rock stuff like Fleetwood Mac and CCR to the greats like Ella Fitzgerald and Aretha Franklin--"Spanish Harlem" omygosh. We even had a double CD of the BeeGees for breadth. :) I, I, I, I, stay'n alive
Anyhow, just Martin and I cover the band here. :)
