Being outdoors has been one of the best ways for me to connect with friends, as well as to connect with myself. Kudos to my pal Scott (Beyond Expeditions) and Frederick for organising this Back to Basics experience, where we learnt how to gather wood, start and sustain a fire, cooking outdoors from natural fuel, carve a wooden chopstick and chopping logs (my fav). It's always nice to pick up outdoor skills like this. This was done at Pulau Ubin, an rustic offshore island from mainland Singapore.
