Gear to aim for:
Weapon:

Apep's Rage good in general, especially if you have a good Lightning warp set up.

Honestly, for most people, Apep's rage + whatever movement skills (Lightning warp or flame dash) works.

Divinarius for speed farming(Whirling blade.) if you don't have lab enchant for 30% reduced Lightning Warp duration

Chest:
Rare chest with good rolls, cheap 6L would work well. Once you get your 6L, then think about Belly of the Beast, Carcass Jack, Kaom's heart(only if you have Pledge of Hands with high link), etc etc.

Gear: Life, resist.

6L: Dark Pact- Controlled Destruction- Spell Echo- Add chaos- Void Manipulation- Increase/Concentrate AOE.
4L: CWDT- Immortal Call- Increase Duration- Blade Vortex(BECAUSE I LOVE BLADE VORTEX! :O Jk. Blade vortex when Cloaked in Savagery is triggered can still top you off in hp during boss tank)
3L: Whirling Blade- Fortify- Faster ATK OR Lightning Warp- Faster casting- Less duration.
3L: Enfeeble- Blasphemy- Arctic Armor
4L: Wither- Spell Totem- Faster Casting- Increase Duration.
4L: (If you do not use Kaom's Roots)- Orb of Storms- Increase Critical- Power Charge on Critical- whatever you want. (This is a way for you to generate power orbs by manually casting the orb of storms :)

DON'T FORGET TO LEVEL MORE GEMS IN THE ALTERNATIVE SET OF WEAPON SLOT

Flasks:
Anti-Bleed/Poison/Shock/Freeze flasks. (diamond flask can help too)

Atziri's promise is a cheap option. You don't get a damage boost at all, but against a single target who is not triggering Cloaked in Savagery, the 2% additional leech can definitely help. Totally situational though :)

What to spend your currencies on:
Cap your resist.
Get HIGH life total.
Prioritize getting the highest lvl Dark Pact.
