Some trivia:
- Outcast is one of the first freely explorable 3D open world action-adventure games
- Terrain is rendered in voxels and objects in 3D polygons
- In the French version, the hero Cutter Slade is dubbed by Patrick Poivey, the French voice of Bruce Willis
- This 1999 version features the famous "Bruno Bonnel presents" which will be removed in version 1.1 (and replaced by "Fresh3D presents")
- In early versions, the hero was called Stan Blaskowitz, dressed as a Talan and had a bird-like helmet
