Whitney Sews | Out With the Old - In With the Older?!? Whitney Sews @Whitney_Sews | Uploaded January 2020 | Updated October 2024, 7 hours ago.
I wanted to share a fun little video about my old vintage sewing machine and the {new} older sewing machine I will be using for a while.
I misspoke in the video what I said I finally came across the exact same machine as Frankie - I actually ended up tracking down TWO identical machines to mine. One was branded as a Good Housekeeping and the other as a Fleetwood. This further drives home the point that the machines were branded with many, many different names and sold all over the place. My machine came to me without a branded plate so I have no way of knowing what name it was originally sold under.
The website I mentioned where my mom got certificates for her vintage Singer Sewing machines doesn't work anymore, but I did locate a serial number chart that allows you to date a vintage singer machine. contrado.co.uk/blog/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/serial-numbers.pdf
