my good friend @cometsans67 helped with the video for this one (and ended up just so happening to give me the idea for the image to begin with (somehow completely unrelated to her username))
the song itself i think is vaguely inspired by outer wilds? kinda slightly? there is also a single specific part that is inspired by a different completely unrelated thing. idk i mostly say that because i couldnt stop thinking about it while making the song.
believe it or not, the background image is actually an edited image of that one hubble space telescope image that everyone knows (possibly because an image from the same telescope (maybe the same image?) appears in undertale as well)
now,
this song has taught me something i think
there were songs a while ago that i looked at as i was posting them and thought "this is my best song... i cant imagine ever making something better than this..."
and this song felt like that too, for just a moment, then i realized
this has happened so many times before
and i have made songs better than those ones so many times now
it doesn't quite feel like i'm growing, but it is so overwhelmingly clear when i look back in this lens
and
i think this applies to more than just my music
this applies to SO much more than that
this applies to more than just ME
i am sure that the next song i release isn't gonna be as good as this song, but someday soon i AM going to release something that is better
i guess that's the point of practice
but i'm saying that i can feel it working, like heavy clockwork gears turning slowly where i can only barely see them
