The unsealing of a court filing by special counsel Jack Smith in Donald Trump's election subversion criminal trial adds new details to what happened on January 6, and combines with JD Vance's lying and distortions about January 6 in yesterday's debate with Tim Walz, with the result being a renewed public awareness of the January 6 insurrection and Donald Trump's role in it.
