The second instalment to my three-part production "Out of the Cold". Also, for your information, I used James Hook from Neverland [2011] to portray Edmund's father, just because I thought he needed to be in there. From the brief showing of him, his relationship with his father was not very good. Like his mother Edmund never saw him again, after leaving for his aunts.

Plot:

Edmund's story begins with his mother sending him away to his estranged aunts house; in hope of protecting him from a similar fate to his siblings. It is the last time he ever sees her. In spite of the danger, Edmund is drawn to the cold winter and ventures out one night. Suddenly, he comes face-to-face with the White Witch herself. She 'befriends' him and makes him consider about joining her army. Edmund is quite taken by the idea. They depart, with the Witch telling him where to find her.

Edmund returns home and bumps into his surprised aunt; who gives him a good telling off. But Edmund doesn't take any notice and although conflicted between the Witch and the memories of his familys' death, Edmund ventures out again into the night. And this time, he heads for the Witch's house.

But soon does he discover, the Witch was bating him and quickly turns against him. Edmund tries to plead his loyalty, but the Witch knows better and imprisons him.
*We also catch our first glimpse of her evil man servant: Lord Voldemort.

Edmund sits alone in his cell, eating mouldy bread and frozen water. Then....a moan from the corner. He looks and finds a mysterious girl; waking from her slumber..
