Quick summary of the ‘plot’

Character A has to watch Character B die:

A&B gazed at each other, they were so close yet so far. They knew what was coming. Trying not to cry B, verbally comforts A, their words echo in A’s head. Then. It happens. To the naked eye B’s death was quick but to their beloved’s eye... it dragged out. They saw even the tiniest bits of life fade from B....
B’s corpse lay in front of them, A shook in disbelief. They couldn’t speak, they couldn’t move, they couldn’t see, they dropped to the ground choking out salty tears. B was gone.
