We've been focusing on geological sites recently on our Indonesian Mission. Specifically underwater volcanoes, seeps, and shallow water vent sites. Many people think of volcanoes being above water, but the majority of volcanoes are actually located below the ocean's surface. Studying these sites can help predict tsunamis and also reveal new ecosystems to scientists.
