Growing up in Northern Ireland, Terry was fascinated by scientific descriptions of the world around us and it’s purpose – or whether it had any purpose at all (Richard Dawkins). He ended up studying a Physics and Maths degree (at Queen’s University Belfast) which led to a PhD in spectroscopy in the field of nuclear fusion (JET EFDA). After struggling to find meaning in complicated equations Terry trained at Oxford University (at Linacre college) and went into education. He has worked as a maths teacher in UK government schools for 15 years. A couple of years ago he started a YouTube channel about board games (youtu.be/44Ss5dqKb6U) and about 9 months ago stumbled across a Flat Earth video.
