You’re looking at Block 03, our first prototype keel block for the Hunter Class Frigate Program!
This is the first block to require blast and paint activity in confined spaces. This 13 week process saw additional control measures introduced and new paints used for the first time.
Weighing 151 tonnes, and travelling at 1km/hour, the block then made its way through the shipyard to its next stop – the Block Outfitting and Erection Hall.
