Watch how our mid-day bus cleaning teams ensure that buses remain tidy in the middle of a busy day!
Each and every bus gets cleaned at the end of its service each day, and, several years ago, we added mid-day cleanings as well.
Working in teams of two, our service attendants, stationed at bus layover terminals, await buses pulling in on layover.
In this video, Metro service attendants Steven and Bryan greet the operator, ask how long their layover is, and whether the bus is in need of a quick clean.
If the operator indicates there is sufficient time, the cleaning team will enter, sweep any trash, wipe down any spills on the floor, seats or spots on the windows, wipe down handrails and spray air freshener. 🧹🧼✨️🚍✨️
They must work quickly and communicate effectively with the bus operators in order to get the bus back out onto its route on time. At the end of a busy day, they may have cleaned around 40 buses.
