At the moment, there are over 65.6 million people displaced from their homes. Over 65.6 million men, women and children who have had to leave behind their communities, cultures, and loved ones. Some of these people have come to our shores seeking safety from war and persecution, and although there are many groups and organisations helping them to settle into their new home, it’s not an easy thing to start a new life in a foreign land.
This is just a little song I wrote about loving our neighbours from over the seas, and how a little bit of kindness - a little bit of love and hope - can go a long way.
(This song is based on Peter Allen's "I still Call Australia Home" and Paul Kelly's "From Little Things, Big Things Grow")
