My wife had a friend who worked for a major television network and in Febuary of 1993 our family was chosen to be on the news show American Closeup. They filmed us from 10am to 10pm, twelve hours for a two minute segment. Even my cat got in the picture. It was quite a day.
We were chosen simply because we lived on Clinton Avenue in Brooklyn and were middle class. This was the tie in to Bill Clinton who was planning tax reform during his first term of office to try and get the country back on it's feet again.
Strange how those times closely parallel what is happening now in 2008. Don't forget to vote tomorrow...
Posted so all of our "old" friends can laugh at how young we look. PS- The recording studio (Hit Factory) that you see in the video was turned into luxury condos in 2007.
