"I have called you friends." True self-sacrifice is found in complete surrender, not out of duty, but out of joy. When the Holy Spirit fills the heart, sacrifice becomes an act of love and devotion, not a burden. Jesus exemplified this, delighting in the will of the Father with joy. Sacrifice without Christ as the focus has no meaning, but with Him, it shapes and refines us. Love that reflects God's character is not sentimental but practical, rooted in the new life He creates in us. This friendship with Christ is humble, pure, and fully devoted to Him.
