Asking is one of the hardest actions; we often resist until at our lowest. True asking arises from acknowledging deep need, not just longing or desiring. Jesus encourages asking for the Holy Spirit to make spiritual truths real within us. When we ask, we step into a relationship as children of God, perceiving His gifts with spiritual clarity. Asking must come from a recognition of spiritual poverty, not from selfish desires. Only those who see their need and humbly turn to God truly receive. "Blessed are the poor in spirit," for they open themselves to God’s fullness through honest seeking.
