The way this function is implemented does not sum the estimate with the actual miss count, but rather it is run as a separate calculation from the actual miss count, based on the max combo of the map. If this calculation returns a higher effective miss count than the true miss count, pp will be interpreted from that value, otherwise the true miss count is used.
