After a quick dip into the Atlantic Ocean, this beautiful Osprey locked eyes with me and flew right towards my camera. Its fresh catch, a Jack, got an unexpected aerial tour of its home. In many ways, the fish was literally transported into another dimension. I always joke and say, “Glad I’m not a fish,” and this is the perfect reminder of why.
I’m constantly exploring new ways to get closer to these incredible animals, so we can all see them in a new light. For the photographers out there, this was shot at 1260mm. For the non photographers, that means this bird was very far away and being able to keep the Osprey in the frame at this focal length is a little on the challenging side but the right gear makes it easier! Eventually I will need a personal caddy every time I go out.
