Do as I Do is a new training method based on dogs’ social cognitive abilities
“Do as I Do” was the name of a scientific protocol first used by Hayes & Hayes in the ‘50s to test chimpanzees imitative abilities
In 2006 the first scientific study on dog’s imitative abilities using the Do as I do protocol was published by Topal and colleagues from the Department of Ethology headed by Adam Miklosi (Eotvos Lorand University, Budapest).
