1. SOUNDBITE (English) Mason Thames, Dave Franco and O’Shea Jackson Jr., actors:
Jackson Jr.: "So what attached me to this film, first and foremost, was Dave, because Dave told me, 'I got something, and I need you, and I know you'll crush it.' And when you have a buddy tell you that, you lock in, because you're like, 'Oh, I mean, my friend is throwing faith in me. Like, I gotta perform, I've gotta lock it in.' And then he told me about Macon (Blair, writer/director/producer), and he showed me his first film, and then from there, I really loved it. And then reading it, you're laughing while you're reading. Which is so, it's huge now."
Franco: "It's rare."
Jackson Jr.: "It's huge. So like, you know, a lot of times what we envision in our head is different from what you're actually gonna film. With this, I could see it so clearly from the page that I was like, all right, yeah, I can see where the funny is, I can where the heartfelt is, and you know I just gotta put Shea into it and that's what my buddy sees that I could do, so I'mma knock that out."
