Scisma EP to be released in 2020
Formed in Palermo, Sicily in 2015, the band has since released one self-financed demo ‘Ortro’ (2016), one split with Malauriu and Feretri ‘In Tenebris Flamma Trinitas Vol.III’ (2017) and a EP ‘Di Ossa e Spiriti’ (2018). Their new, 4-songs EP showcases a mature band whose varied songwriting (all lyrics written in Italian language and Sicilian dialect) has blossomed into distinctive compositions influenced by Old School Black Metal and other legendary acts such as BLACK SABBATH, MOTÖRHEAD, VENOM, CELTIC FROST, HORNA, URGEHAL and even italian bands like BULLDOZER, MORTUARY DRAPE and SPITE EXTREME WING. ORTRO’s hard-hitting edge has remained intact as they cross the entire specter between primordial black metal, punk and rock vibes re-proposed in a personal and inner key.
‘SCISMA’ has been recorded by Claudio Tommasi (AUDIOSUITE STUDIO) in Palermo and mixed and mastered by Giorgio Trombino (BIG ROCK STUDIO) in Possagno (Treviso) between November/December 2019.
