Deck the Halls is a traditional Christmas tune. The melody of the song belongs to a Welsh winter carol Nos Galan, dating back to the sixteenth century. Through the ages it was performed by folk medieval singers to great classical composers, like Mozart and Haydn. The English lyrics were added in 1862 by Thomas Oliphant, a Scottish musician. Its still a famous and wonderful Christmas tune!
