In the Call of Duty: Zombies map "Origins" (featured in Black Ops II and Black Ops III), the "Elemental Knife" is a secret, player-discovered exploit. It forces the game to glitch the upgraded "Iron Fists" into a one-hit-kill melee weapon. The Elemental Knife is not a naturally obtainable weapon, but rather a famous glitch discovered shortly after the release of the Origins map. Players found that if you died in a specific way while holding an upgraded "Iron Fist," the game would swap the fist mechanic for a permanent knife that retained the elemental power (Fire, Ice, Lightning, or Wind) of the staff you were holding. The Fire variant quickly gained legendary status, as it allowed players to easily one-shot melee zombies past round 80.
