【♥ PERSONAL NOTES ⇣ 】

Hi guys! A little vent song that has come to mean a few different things to me.

I wrote the song solely about a romantic relationship I'd been struggling with up until it's most recent end. There's been so much drama over the years (inbetween loving times), and while mistakes were definitely made on both sides and I'm not perfect, but I've always tried to be patient and fair at the very least.

In the end it felt like I wasn't given the same in return.

Ultimately at that time I was left feeling abandoned, and like
the love over the years was thrown away / disregarded in the heat of a temporary moment.

Heaven to me represented us finally reaching a happier place. It was just a vent though, a way to purge the bLEH i felt towards the situation. Some parts I was even being a little silly like the 'mason' line. Since our parting we’ve talked things through - I’ve expressed the sentiments from this song exactly and gained some closure.

A couple months after they left however (around the time I lost YouTube monetization and the apartment we shared) my grandfather passed away unexpectedly. The song took another meaning for me at that point.

I was already feeling depressed and lonely, but him passing took me into a completely different headspace.

Anything can happen, but it makes me feel like there's so much more life I'm expected to live with enthusiasm. Such a long way to go before being reunited. I don't know if I 100% believe I’ll ever being reunited with them but it's a sentiment I wanted to express.

I still hope that most things happen for a reason, and that all of these endings are making way for something beautiful and new. It just feels like an overwhelming amount of pieces to pick up now ...
